Dr.King Legacy Lives On Through ''Freedom Of speech''
Thousands of Americans all gathered together in the capital of America to honor Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.King was a civil rights leaders and activist, he fought for our rights because nobody else could at the time. He gave his famous "I Had Dream" speech in 1963: he had 250,00 people march with him. But in 1964, King had been awarded the ''The Noble Peace Prize''. He was only 35 years old, meaning he was the youngest person to recieve this award. In 1968 King was assassinated. But in 2011 a 30 foot sculptor was made to honor Dr.King Jr. The statue is called '' The Stone of Hope'': this sculptor shows Mr. King emerging from a rock representing the speech ''I Had A Dream''. President Barack Obama was one of the many people who spoke at a dedication speech honoring King's success. Everyone who spoke at King's ceremony spoke of his courage, bravery, knowledge and hope he gave everyone every time he spoke of rights.
